Preston Johnson is a 2011 RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Duluth, GA who attends Peachtree Ridge HS. Medium lean athletic build. Solid pitching mechanics, loose quick arm, 3/4's arm slot, still working on consistent release point. Mid 80's fastball, topped at 87 mph, FB has good running life at times, curveball has sweeping early break, good velocity, some feel for change up. Good mound presence, has an idea how to mix it up, competes well. Good student.
