Jonathan Schmitz is a 2011 C/OF/P with a 6'1'', 220 lb. frame from College Station, TX who attends A&M Consolidated HS. Big thick build, excellent present strength. Good lower half flexibility defensively, good arm strength, 1.97 best pop, pop will immediately improve with simple footwork adjustments, agility noteworthy for size. Busy load hitting, complicated swing but good raw bat speed, ball comes off barrell hard, hands work well at ball, gap to gap power now, more to come. Also pitched, FB to 81 mph, over the top slot, limited lower half use, early breaking slider. Good tools to develop, fundamentals still raw. Good student.
