Jonathon Law is a 2015 RHP/3B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from El Paso, TX who attends J M Hanks HS. Strong well proportioned athletic build. Long extended arm action with a high 3/4's arm slot,, gets downhill very well, fast arm with some energy at release. Mid to upper 80's fastball, topped out at 89 mph, mostly straight. Change up his best secondary pitch, flashed plus at times with lots of deception and movement. Tends to aim curveball with slower arm speed but showed ability to spin it, curveball will improve with work. Has a 3-pitch starter's repertoire and good command and mound presence to use them. Right handed hitter, has strong hands and some bat speed, can create back spin when he squares the ball up, swings hard from a tall stance. Showed his arm strength at third base defensively, lots of carry, fields ball out front well with soft hands. Good student.
