Charles King is a 2016 RHP with a 6-5 200 lb. frame from Coppell, TX who attends Coppell HS. Very long and athletic build, lots of room to get stronger, very projectaable. Well paced delivery, big load on his backside, gets coiled and loaded to drive to the plate, has some energy in his delivery but controls it well, extended 3/4's arm action, close to mid 3/4's. Fastball to 92 mph this event, have heard mid-90's frequently and it's in there, works both sides of the the plate with good arm side life. Short and tight slider, not a swing'miss pitch but gets off the barrel well, quality change up with arm speed and deception. Lots of projection. Outstanding student, verbal commitment to TCU. Named to the Perfect Game All-American Classic team.
