Christian Rice is a 2022 RHP/IF/OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Colts Neck, NJ who attends Colts Neck. Medium athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining. High leg lift delivery, gets downhill well from a 3/4's arm slot, fast paced mechanics with a quick and compact arm action, gets into his lower half very well to drive his delivery. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running life. Slider and change up were both quality pitches, slider had big horizontal depth to it with some sharpness. Change up was thrown from a bit lower arm slot but had very good tumbling action. Threw strikes with all three pitches and really came after hitters. Two-way prospect at the next level due to his athleticism. Played both infield and outfield and showed his arm strength well at both positions, 7.21 runner in the sixty with good agility in the field. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall and narrow stance with a long stride into contact, has quick hips driving his swing, worked gap to gap with good carry and jump off the barrel. Good student. Named to the Fall Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
