Mason Luna is a 2021 MIF/RHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Dora, MO who attends Dora. Long, lanky build with present strength and athleticism. Ran a 6.86 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary infielder. Displayed athletic actions working to and through the baseball to go along with clean footwork. Flashed good range working to both sides of the infield. Showed clean transfers into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry across the diamond topping out at 82 mph to first base. Also worked out defensively in the outfield. Displayed athletic actions with polished footwork while working to and through the baseball in the outfield. Flashed a confident glove while fielding to the side of the baseball. Displayed quick transfers into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry to the bases topping out at 86 mph from the outfield. Right handed hitter. Employs a spread stance with a line drive barrel plane through the zone. Showed a middle to pull line drive approach with the ability to create good bat speed. Flashed the ability to create consistently driven line drives to the middle and pull fields when on time and squared. Also pitched at the event. Employs a small side step to belt high leg lift staying slightly flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound landing online with the plate and staying online through finish. Showed a long. loose arm action moving to a mid three-quarter arm slot with good arm speed. Features a fastball with good feel for the zone up to 80 mph complemented with a 11/5 breaking ball with big depth creating some swing and miss and a little late fading change up at 67 mph.
