William Range is a 2020 RHP/IF/OF with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Edwardsville, IL who attends Edwardsville. Long athletic build, very projectable physically. Full hands over head delivery, big stride towards the plate after a pause at the top, hard acceleration to the plate with lots of energy. Fastball topped out at 89 mph, mostly straight, created good spin on his curveball but tended to bounce it frequently. Has a strong and projectable arm but lots of work to do with his delivery before he can develop command. 7.09 runner, has confident glove actions in the middle infield with smooth footwork, moves well to both sides, ball comes out of his hand easily, accurate throws. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow stance with a linear drift to his front side, takes a full swing with some intent, gap to gap approach with some power potential. Very good athlete who could end up as either a position player or pitcher depending on the adjustments he makes. Excellent student. Named to the National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
