Cody Boshell is a 2026 1B/LHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Jacksonville, FL who attends Bishop John J. Snyder. Large frame with some strength and physicality present. Ran a 7.35 60-yard dash. Worked out as a primary first baseman. Sits back on the ball and gets squared up and works through the motion. Also worked out in the outfield, using short and choppy steps to get to the ball, working up from the ground, and letting it go with some power behind it. Threw 87 mph from the outfield and 88 mph when working out at first base. A left-handed hitter who starts with a wider base, hands tight to the body, and a high back elbow. Had some bat speed working for him, producing some good strength and leveraging the baseball at times, with some loud contact. Also took the mound as a left-handed pitcher. Had a loose arm with good speed. Threw from a lower three-quarters arm slot. His fastball was up to 87 mph while holding 83-86 mph with some arm-side run to it. His changeup had good depth and fade to it. The breaking ball was sharp, breaking with 2-7 shape that was his out-pitch. It was an excellent three-pitch mix, pounding the zone early with the fastball and trusting the offspeed. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
