McCormick Buchner is a 2020 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Annapolis, MD who attends St. Mary's HS. Recorded a 4.87 second 40-yard dash time. Lean build with some present strength and good size for future projection. Primary lefthanded pitcher who throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with some deception. Hides the ball well and it jumps on the hitter quickly. Fastball lived in the low-80s and showed good arm side run. Gets good extension toward the plate and works low in the zone well. Curveball had good spin and 12/6 break that projects well. Could throw it for strikes and could also create cutting action on the fastball. Arm strength played well from secondary position of outfield. Righthanded hitter with a spread open stance, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Longer swing with a big leg lift trigger into the shift with a downhill plane. Can work to all fields well and has some strength off the barrel. Good student.
