Cannon Pickell is a 2020 RHP/C with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Moyock, NC who attends Currituck County. Big and strong build. Long arm stroke through the back with good extension out front, stays on line well to the plate, high 3/4's arm slot with good downhill plane to the plate, gathers well on his back leg and drives well to the plate. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, works his fastball to both sides of the plate and has an idea how to use the pitch. Curveball is in the upper 70's with good power and spin, flashes hard downer sharpness at times but will get on the side of the pitch at times. Filled up the strike zone with both pitches and worked a pair of quick innings. Excellent student, verbal commitment to North Carolina.
