Aaron Alston is a 2026 SS/RHP/C with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Hammond, LA who attends Presbyterian Christian. Tall and physical build with well-proportioned strength to the frame. Ran a 7.10 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, easy actions and range to both sides, fundamentally sound footwork with a fluidness to the footwork, glove works well out front with a two hand funnel into the chest, quick exchange and gets the ball out of the hand quickly. Has ability to change slots and has good arm strength, recorded throws up to 86 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, slow tempo delivery into a higher leg lift, drop and drive lower half mechanics, has a quick arm, three-quarters slot. Fastball has good life to it with slight arm-side run in the mid-80s, flashed a changeup with limited fading depth, also showed a curveball with 11-5 shape in the mid-60s. Right-handed hitter, even base with low hands and a low back elbow in the stance, short stride out into contact, keeps the hands tight to the body throughout the operation. Works to get the barrel inside the baseball and impact to the opposite field, will continue to show power as the hands loosen. Good student.
