Isaac Sewell is a 2022 1B/LHP with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from Clermont, FL who attends The First Academy. Large, broad shouldered build with present strength to frame and long limbs. Ran an 8.60 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front, funnels into a full arm action through the back, works on top of ball and shows accuracy across, actions will continue to develop, shows comfort in dropping slot on throws. Also pitched, steady tempo to delivery with a simple side step start; leg lift slightly above belt. Similar full arm action and works to a high three-quarters release point. Worked around the zone with three pitches; fastball topped out at 72 mph with short running life; straight changeup out of hand and showed a 1-7 shaped curveball at 62 mph. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a wide and slightly open stance with a medium hand set and a high back elbow in the box. Loads hands back at the start of swing, utilizes a simple glide step moving into contact. Full swing path through the zone, works with a middle of the field approach, upper body dominant swing. Quick finish through the ball and shows strength to his pull side off the barrel when squared. Very good student.
