Matthew Sharman is a 2026 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-2 182 lb. frame from Woodstock, GA who attends Etowah. Recorded a 7.43 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop with a tall, lean, and projectable build. Showcased good body control in the infield and used a long arm swing. Showed the ability to change arm slots with big arm strength, up to 87 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter and starts with a medium base and even feet. Employs a hovering leg lift trigger and stays direct to it. Utilizes quick hands and swing is hands-oriented. Bat stays on a level bat path and worked the pull side and the middle of the field. Best power was to pull side gap. Secondary right-handed pitcher and begins delivery with a leg lift to core level. Utilizes a medium length arm action, releasing from a high-3/4 slot. Gets over the front side well and throws with plenty of intent. Fastball topped at 86 mph, featuring moderate arm side run while working down in the zone. Showed 11-5 shaped curveball with solid depth to it. Flashed a changeup and replicated arm speed. Verbal commitment to Georgia.
