Vernon Woodard is a 2026 C/RHP/3B with a 5-10 195 lb. frame from Grayson, GA who attends Grayson. Strong and compact catcher's build. 7.61 runner in the sixty. Sets up side saddle behind the plate, gains ground into his throws, tends to fall off to the glove side at release with a lower release slot, can continue to work on his direction into release and staying on top of his throws, has solid arm strength and carry. Left handed hitter, sets up in an open stance with a toe tap trigger, inside swing path, stays on top of the ball for line drive contact, works it to all fields, handled left handed pitching well. Excellent student.
