AJ Ward is a 2024 SS/RHP, 3B with a 6-2 173 lb. frame from Demorest, GA who attends Glynn Academy. Large frame with a physically advanced lower half. Ran a 7.39 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, worked out in the infield rounding the ball well and showcasing a quick transfer, hands are playable, footwork into release is developing and will continue to add arm strength with more ground gained into his release. Secondary righthanded pitcher, starts his delivery with a side step up to a high leg lift to start delivery, takes his arm back to a compact arm action up to a high ¾ arm slot, throws with intent and the ball jumps out of his hand, fastball flashed life to armside up to 77 mph. Righthanded hitter, sets up with an open stance at the plate, takes a downhill swing path to contact, gets rotational and flat with barrel plane, quick to the ball and it comes off hard when squared, will unlock power with adjustments to extension and separation through contact.
