2024 Jr. National Showcase
Jaxon Matthews is a 2026 OF/1B with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Davidson, NC who attends Hough. Outstanding athletic build with plenty of present strength and more to come. 6.59 runner in the sixty. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread and open stance with a big leg raise trigger, has outstanding raw bat speed, more of a line drive swing right now with big carry to the gaps, easy plus/plus power projection, ball explodes off the barrel, just going to keep getting stronger as he matures physically. Primary outfielder on defense with a mid-90's arm, didn't do defensive drills at this event. Outstanding student, verbal commitment to Clemson.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
