2023 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Aiden Ruiz is a 2026 SS/C/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Woodhaven, NY who attends The Stony Brook School. Medium athletic build with room for additional strength. Very quick twitch athlete. 6.65 runner in the sixty. Rare player who grades out as well defensively at shortstop as he does at catcher. Primary shortstop with outstanding footwork moving through the ball, always balanced and moving, throws from all arm angles with accuracy and carry, gets rid of the ball quickly. Very quick out of his crouch behind the plate, really gets rid of the ball quickly, should be able to block about anything. Switch-hitter at the plate, hits from a spread and open stance left handed with a high hand load, long and loose swing with bat speed, is a big more compact from the right side with similar bat speed, legitimate switch hitting abilities. Fun player to watch play. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
