2020 Atlantic Coast Prospect Showcase
Cole Tarango is a 2024 C/1B/3B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Lyman, SC who attends Southside Christian Schools. Young athletic build, has some present strength for his age with plenty more to come. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a well timed swing and very good lower half shift into contact, swing is loose and fluid and he shows an accurate barrel, pull to mid field contact with good carry for a freshman, very projectable with the bat. 7.46 runner in the sixty. Has flexible lower half actions behind the plate defensively, feet work well shifting and blocking, tends to throw cross body and will need work to correct this. Also pitched, 3/4's arm slot with a high leg lift load, breaks hands early and gets his arm back too soon. Fastball topped out at 73 mph with a soft curveball. Excellent student. Named to the Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
