Ty Federici is a 2022 LHP/OF with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Dallas, PA who attends Lake-Lehman. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and advanced physical strength proportioned well throughout frame. Ran a 7.56 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, steady tempo to delivery with leg lift up past belt, gets tall on backside and shows a quick, full arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point. Attacked with fastball and able to create angle, easy velocity and topped out at 87 mph, maintained well and filled the zone. Mostly true in life, subtle cut at times, strides on line with lower half. Tight breaking ball up to 74 mph, short life with 2-8 shape, flashed a changeup at 76 mph. Similar strong arm from the outfield, fields the ball out front and gets on top of throws, ball comes out cleanly with plenty of carry, can continue to refine lower half mechanics, extra steps through release. Righthanded hitter, begins with a lower hand set and high back elbow at the plate with an even, spread base. Swings with intent and incorporates physical strength well, found the barrel in live action with hard jump coming off. Upper body dominant swing, shows quickness to barrel and looks to impact the ball at point of contact. Named to 14U Northeast Top Prospect List.
