Brooks Willis is a 2024 RHP/1B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Warner Robins, GA who attends Houston County. Tall and lean frame with a high waist, lanky with lots of room to fill. Ran a 7.87 second 60 yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, pitches exclusively from the stretch, takes his arm back to a pretty compact arm action and lifts leg to belt high, releases from a high 3/4 arm slot, young arm speed through the back and a crossbody delivery adds some deception at release. Fastball topped out at 78 mph in this outing and has been into the low-80s this summer, mixed in a pair of secondaries, curveball has depth to in the low-60s and changeup has cut action, a bit inconsistent with release point in this outing but has great size to project on and adjustments to be made moving forward. Secondary first baseman, good glove with short steps taken when moving around the bag. Left-handed hitter, dips hands into contact with a leg lift trigger, downhill bat path with young barrel skills. Outstanding student.
