Cristian Bernardini is a 2023 C/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Manalapan Township, NJ who attends Manalapan. Medium athletic build with plenty of physical projection. 5.01 runner in the forty. Shows very good athleticism behind the plate on defense, gets low and has flexibility and quickness in his actions, receives the ball with soft hands, has a good exchange and lots of young arm strength, solid arm stroke as a catcher. Also played the outfield and showed his arm strength well with a much longer deep and hooked arm action. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a leg lift trigger, good flow through contact, has quick hands and drives the barrel hard through the zone, has some intent in his swing and looks to pull the ball, good extension out front, consistent timing. Projects very well as a hitter. Good student. Named to the Northeast Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
