Maicol Santiago is a 2026 RHP/3B/SS with a 6-2 158 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends Gateway. Slender athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Works from a short side step delivery with a long and loose arm action from a 3/4's arm slot, lands a bit open out front but still gets good extension, well paced mechanics that he repeats well. Fastball was in the upper 80's with some running action, more velocity there as he gets stronger. Added and subtracted on a mid-70's breaking ball while showing some ability to spin the ball and manage shapes. Change up was a nice pitch with late sink. Good bet to keep improving. Worked out in the infield when not on the mound. Right handed hitter, has a good shift into contact from an upright start, loose and rhythmic swing that has some projection, gap to gap contact, not strong enough yet to consistently create back spin.
