Liam Martin is a 2022 SS/RHP/IF with a 6-1 152 lb. frame from Eagan, MN who attends Eagan. Ran a 7.15 second sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop that rounds the ball well with clean and confident glove actions. Transitions well, showcasing good range to the glove side and developing athleticism through the fielding process. Has present arm strength, making throws across the diamond at 83 miles per hour. Right-handed hitter that starts from a tall and even stance, high back elbow and developing bat speed. Has developing use of the lower half, shifting well to the point of contact with developing strength in the hands. Flashes some good jump off the barrel when on time and squared. Makes consistently hard contact in game action. Secondary right-handed with easy and repeatable mechanics. Has good linear direction in the lower half, getting quality extension over the front side with some present arm speed from a three-quarter slot. Fastball has plus-life to the arm side, generating plenty of swings and misses up to 85 miles per hour. Shows feel for a low-70s change-up with late, sinking action in the zone. Has developing feel to spin a low-70s curveball with 11-5 shape and late depth through the zone. Shows good command of the strike zone and projects for more velocity as the frame continues to mature.
