Chase Gasner is a 2024 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Rochester, MN who attends Mayo. Strong, well built frame with upper half strength present. Ran a 7.36 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, utilizes the right knee down stance, works under the ball coming through, clean exchange on throws with catcher's slot on release, the feet work nicely here, developing arm strength right now with current fundamental base in place to improve. Right-handed hitter, squared off and slightly open base, high hands and back elbow set, small knee lift trigger, minimal separation created, some strength in the hands and forearms that comes off in flashes when barreled up out front with extension, working to develop overall fluidity, fires the hands and hips hard in the swing, components here to project on in the long term. Strong athlete with solid fundamental base and strength on both sides with a chance to continue improving. Good student. Named to 2023 WWBA Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
