2024 Sophomore National Showcase (2027 Grads)
Jared Grindlinger is a 2027 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-1 179 lb. frame from Huntington Beach, CA who attends Huntington Beach. Broad shouldered athletic build with good strength and more to come, has got stronger but has lots of physical projection remaining. Side step delivery into a belt high leg raise, full arm swing, very loose and whippy coming through, topped out at 90 mph, velocity comes easily and there will be plenty more to come. Throws a hard sweeping curveball as his breaking ball, wasn't getting on top of it this outing but imparts plenty of spin. Plays first base on defense. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a toe tap close and trigger, creates easy bat speed with loose hands and good extension through contact, mostly middle of the field, stays balanced well and repeats his timing. Two-way prospect. Good student, verbal commitment to TCU.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
