Harry Chubb Jones Jr. is a 2027 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-2 168 lb. frame from Powder Springs, GA who attends Mceachern. Large, athletic frame with a high waist and long limbs, projectable build with some present strength. Excellent runner, posted a 6.66 60-yard dash, an event best. Athleticism plays around the field, listed as a primary shortstop, shows quickness to footwork in the dirt, picks the backhand cleanly and shows a nice feel for repeating actions with ability to adjust slot as needed, strong arm across. Big arm strength from the outfield, charges the ball well and works through it nicely, fields out front, longer arm action, one hop accuracy to the bag with big arm strength and low carry to intended base. High upside on the mound, leg lift up to belt with full hands over head operation, lands on line coming down the mound, full and loose arm action through the backside working to high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 88 mph and gets on hitters quickly, able to induce some uncomfortable swings, shows cutting action to it along with heavy run at times. High spin on the fastball and can miss bats up in the zone. Medium lateral shape to the slider up to 79 mph, shows flashes through the zone and ability to miss bats, plays off of the fastball well. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Direct to the ball with quickness to hands, occasionally gets out front with weight shift, beset when working on a linear path and generating hard contact to the middle and pull side parts of the field, creates some lift through the point of contact. Very good student. Named to the 2023 14u Perfect Game Select Festival.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
