2025 PG Florida Uncommitted Prospect Showcase
Colton Rogers is a 2027 OF/RHP/IF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Live Oak, FL who attends Suwannee. Medium athletic build with the beginnings of some prseent strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a wide base with a busy hand load, turns tight and creates some bat speed and impact, short path to the ball and hits through it well, mid field line drive contact with some jump, has hitting tools to continue to develop. 7.34 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, was aggressive to the ball with good footwork and athleticism into his throws, has a longer arm swing with good carry on his throws from a high release point, made accurate throws. Also worked out in the infield, has some actions and athleticism there as well, arm strength plays but dtill developing his accuracy and release quickness. Took a turn on the mound, has a short up tempo delivery and throws from a lower arm slot, fastball topped out at 80 mph with big running life and was well located to the arm side. Slider was a weapon with tight spin and sharp two-plane darting action, got lots of swing/miss on glove side breaking balls against right handed hitters. Good student. Named to the PG Florida Uncommitted Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
