Marc Morotini is a 2009 OF/2B/RHP from Warwick HS in Newport News, VA with a 5'8", 142 lb. frame. He has a lean build with a lot of room to fill out. Marc is a switch-hitter that looked a little stronger from the right side of the plate. He is primarily a ground ball/line-drive type hitter. He tends to pull off the ball and would hit the ball harder if he keeps his front side in longer. From the left side Marc runs into the same problems with opening up early and it is something that he will need to work on. In the field Marc shows solid tools and a quick release in both the infield and outfield. At this point Marc projects best as a second baseman. Marc looks like a kid that could play some smaller college baseball as he get older and his body matures.
