2022 13U/14U Sunshine Atlantic Coast Showcase
Addison Terry is a 2027 C/RHP/1B with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Winston Salem, NC who attends Oak Grove. Thick overall build with good symmetry and lots of time to continue physical development and refinement. Ran the 60 yard dash in 8.71 seconds. Primary position C, utilizing a high leg set and deliberate mechanics throughout. Showed good glove work with emerging arm strength and pop times in the 2.20 range. Once the upper and lower body become more integrated things will make a jump, like accuracy and carry on throws. RHH with upper body dominant swing, showing strong hands and steep approach to the ball with the bat head. When hips and shoulders worked in sequence swing came together nicely and produced hard contact especially in game. Took reps at 1B, fielded the ball a bit high but made plays with the glove. Arm worked well on the infield showing velocity across the diamond up to 70 mph. Secondary RHP, with a simple delivery and over the top arm action. Leg lift belt high, with glove and lead leg working together down the slope. Command was hit and miss but produced a FB in the 73-77 mph range with occasional cut and quality secondary offering in his CH in the mid-60's with tumbling action. SL in the upper-60's is still to come, not there yet but time to refine and create more spin and bite with hand strength.
