Carson Sharp is a 2026 C/RHP/IF with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Liberty Hill, TX who attends Liberty Hill. Nice athletic build with good present strength and lots of physical projection remaining. Two-way prospect. Primary catcher on defense who sets up out of the crouch. Pops up athletically with speed and gets it out quickly. Shorter arm action. Strong accurate throws to the bag. Gains ground through the plate with footwork. Recorded a 1.82 pop time and was up to 80 from behind the dish. Also played infield and was up to 88 from there. Fields it deep with a 2 hand gather from a steep transfer. Profiles more so on the corner. Strong arm with carry and accuracy behind his throws. Ran a 7.44 sixty. Also pitched throwing from a mid 3/4 slot. Works inline well and rides the slope downhill. Gets good drive off his back leg. Fastball worked up to 88 with late ASR life to it and some ride at the top of the zone. Throws from the full arm swing that rears back. Arm action is clean out of the hand and ball jumps. Went to a short/tight slider with late biting sweep and showed 2-planes at times. Change with some fade repeats arm speed well. Quality 3-pitch mix that should continue to project. Right-handed hitter with a balanced base. Small leg lift and stride into contact. Gets into his lower half well with a clean weight transfer and big strength off the barrel. Stays on it well with feel in the box. Clears hips from a level swing. Ball really jumps off the barrel here. Showed strong 2-way potential throughout the weekend. Very good student. Named to the Lone Star Showcase Top Prospect List.
