JuanCarlos Coronado is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Corpus Christi, TX who attends Robstown Early College High School. Large frame with athletic, physical build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.24 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, arm speed stands out, high three quarters slot with plane, command wavered at times but power stuff, fastball touched 91 mph and sat 85-90, occasional good sink to the pitch, CB flashed sharp bite and depth, has big upside on the mound. Hits from narrow, open stance with big load and trigger, swings uphill with intent to drive the ball into the air, strides big. Stood out at first base defensively, clean funnel, hands and athleticism both stand out, loud arm strength, clocked up to 91 mph on throws across the diamond.
