Campbell Smithwick is a 2023 C/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Conway, SC who attends Conway. Tall and athletic frame with lots of room to fill. Ran a 7.35 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, worked out at the position showing some of the top defensive actions at the event, quick feet that get him out of his crouch and into a strong throwing position, exchanges quickly with a true transfer, arm strength and accuracy stood out as well, 1.93 best pop in drills, 2.25 best pop in game. Lefthanded hitter, active load with hands and barrel, toe tap trigger with a very high hand set, generates good bat speed, long swing plane through the zone and showed flashes of pop to the pull side, worked the ball to all fields. Very high upside player especially defensively. Named to 2020 14U PG Select Baseball Festival.
