William Russell is a 2027 1B/RHP/IF with a 6-7 185 lb. frame from Covington, GA who attends Eastside High School. Recorded a 6.87 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman with an extra tall and slender frame. High waist and long limbs and showed good footwork around the bag at first base. Also worked out in the outfield and worked to the all aggressively. Employs a crow hop and kept balls on a low flight with carry. Big arm strength and recorded throws up to 89 mph from the outfield. Threw with one hop accuracy throughout. Right-handed hitter and starts from a wide and open base. Minimal load prior to swing and keeps the hands tight. Bat stays on an uphill path through the zone. Worked to lift the ball during the round and flashed strength. Secondary right-handed pitcher and gets a ton of extension. Clean arm action and releases from a 3/4 slot. Fastball topped at 82 mph, featuring arm side run. Has the pieces that project big on the mound. Named to the 2023 National Underclass Showcase- Top Prospect List.
