2025 PG WWBA Workout Showcase (July 5)
Leyton Guhl is a 2027 C/OF with a 5-9 166 lb. frame from Indian Trail, NC who attends Metrolina Christian Academy. Medium current frame with wiry strength, life to his action and twitchy moves with more room to add physicality. Ran the 60-yard dash in 6.62 seconds. Primary position catcher, working from a higher, offset initial stance and an overall transitional setup. Two-hand operation to midline transfer and makes it happen quickly with consistent results. Stands up a bit in transition but the arm is quick and accurate with plenty of life and carry to the bag. Generated throws up to 77 mph with a pop-time best 1.94 seconds and the skillset to keep the upward trend. Reps in the outfield as well, working the glove off to the side and slowing down to field a bit in transition. Works through a high 3/4 arm angle and makes accurate feeds up to 85 mph back to the infield. RHH working from a narrower and slightly open stance, high handset to start and short stride to get things moving. Stays on time quite well, shows quick hands but gets a little steep with his path to impact. Best bolts were when on plane and working through the oppo gap. Intent to do damage with every pass, so a bat to watch in the short term, Elite performer in the classroom as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
