2024 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Tsubasa Sasaki is a 2026 OF/RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Lake Nona. Features a medium sized build with some present athleticism and quality strength. Ran a 6.89 60-yd dash. In the OF, there was some hesitancy to his actions/process where he waited back at times before working through. He did field each GB clean getting to an out front reception on most but at times off to the side. Showed a quick exchange and got into an athletic crow hop that created momentum into throws. Used a longer arm action that worked to a higher 3/4 slot where throws were more uphill flashing carry and decent accuracy but just avg. strength. At the plate, sits with a wider base with hands tight to his body, holding a flatter barrel to his shoulder. Slight coil in his load while the hands wrap the barrel a bit at launch and lower half uses a small/quiet lift. Showed loose hands that throw the barrel with some above avg. quickness. Stays inside it pretty well, trying to work more short-to-long through. At times he didn't create much length in the path causing some downhill/steeper swings that produced majority ground balls but did catch a couple out front for some quality line drives to the pull side.
