Will Johnson is a 2023 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Frisco, TX who attends Reedy. Extra-large frame with a highly projectable build. Ran a 7.83 second 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, works solely from the stretch with a big up and down leg lift slightly coiled back toward second base; very long and loose arm action through a slightly extended three-quarters slot that creates good run to the arm side and short late life on the fastballl flashed feel for a changeup with fade at the plate that he maintains arm speed well on. Also worked out in the outfield and at first base, has a sound approach to the ball at both positions with low-effort actions, good momentum into his throws and projectable arm speed on throws to bags. Right-handed hitter, sets up with high hands and a high back elbow using a big leg lift trigger; swings around the ball at times with a slightly lifted swing path, fires the hips well and shows able to lift the ball to the middle of the field with some carry when squared.
