2024 Sophomore National Showcase (2027 Grads)
Grant Sperandio is a 2027 RHP/C/3B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Memorial. Big and strong athletic build, stands out physically. Highest level two-way talent. Works from the stretch on the mound with a medium length arm takeaway leading to a high 3/4's arm slot, loose and fast arm with low effort mechanics. Fastball worked mostly 88-90 and topped out at 93 mph early. Curveball has sharp downer bite with 2500+ rpm spin rates, also showed good feel and some fading action on a change up. 6.91 mph runner in the sixty. Profiles best at third base in the field, moves well and is athletic on the run, big arm strength across the diamond. Also worked out in the outfield with a big arm and young overall actions and has caught in the past as well. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance, very strong swing with big bat speed, ball explodes off the barrel, turns the barrel over well, has juice to all fields. Has tools across the board and it will be interesting to see where he ends up in the future.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
