LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2023 Jr. National Showcase
Wade Hartrick is a 2025 C/RHP/3B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Boulder, CO who attends IMG Academy. Tall and lean athletic build with some present strength and room for more. 7.48 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has very good fundamentals in his exchange and footwork, consistently accurate throws, receives the ball comfortably, solid arm strength and carry. Also worked out at third base and shows his arm well there and has soft hands fielding the ball. Right handed hitter, hits from a moderately wide base with a short stride into contact, pretty short and direct to the ball, stays compact with line drive intent and some jump off the barrel, comfortable hitting the other way, has the frame and future strength to open up his swing and develop more power. Also pitched, has a full arm action leading to a 3/4's arm slot, good loose loosensess and extension, front side can get early at times. Fastball topped out at 87 mph, gets nice life down in the zone and can get outs there, tends to flatten up in the zone. Also threw a developing short slider. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
