2021 Northeast Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Dylan Duborg is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Orefield, PA who attends Parkland. Well-proportioned frame with long levers and additional room to add strength. Primary right-handed pitcher with good overall pitch repertoire and plenty of projection remaining. Uptempo delivery with quick leg lift, good lower half movements down the slope and extension through release. Over-the-top arm slot with clean arm circle on the backside and plenty of present arm speed. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 80s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 86 mph in this look. Overall athleticism coupled with simple, repeatable mechanics bode well and clean arm action bode well for velocity gains in the near future. Shows ability to command all four quadrants on the strike zone effectively, adding and subtracting to his fastball to create deception and different looks. Creates loads of swings-and-misses with fastball alone, flashing heavy arm-side run and life through the zone with it. Complemented fastball with both a curveball and slider as secondary offerings. Slider is further along at present with sharp, tight spin traits and some sweeping action to it. The slider holds its 10-4 shape through the zone, flashing depth for a true swing-and-miss pitch. Curveball is thrown slower with 11-5 shape to it and loose spin traits. Both secondaries are well-tunneled and certainly will improve as he continues to mature and add velocity. Right-handed hitter that showed impressive strength throughout his round, while displaying some growth potential at the plate. Lofted stroke with slightly elongated path, some present bat speed and strength through contact. Functional swing that will allow for potential two-way ability. Intriguing prospect with present arm talent and loads of velocity upside and projection remaining. Named to the 2021 Perfect Game Northeast Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
