John Stowers is a 2026 C/RHP/3B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Mobile, AL who attends St. Paul's Episcopal. Strong, durable frame young prospect with well-proportioned strength throughout and room to add. Recorded a 7.67 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary catcher receives from an exaggerated side-saddle stance with slightly lower mid-line transfer and athleticism out of the crouch. Gains ground towards his target quickly into a full arm action and displayed online, accurate throws with huge arm strength during drills. Recorded arm strength up to 78 mph with accuracy to the right side of the bag. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Simple, repeatable leg lift with good lower half movements down the slope. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 80s throughout his outing and topped out at 86 mph from a loose three-quarters arm slot. Mixed in bigger two-plane breaking ball with both vertical and horizontal tilt to it for strikes. Strike thrower with loose, easy arm action and plenty of present arm speed. Left-handed hitter that hits from a balanced, even stance with a lower hand set and good lower half movements into launch. Loose, leveraged stroke with exceptional feel for the barrel, intent and the ability to impact the baseball consistently. Displayed legitimate power to the pullside and projects for more as he continues to physically mature. Strong, durable backstop with huge offensive prowess, plenty of arm strength and tons of upside remaining. Excellent Student. Named to the 2023 Perfect Game Select Baseball Festival.
