2023 Pittsburgh Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Ben Ryan is a 2024 3B/C/UT with a 5-11 205 lb. frame from Indiana, PA who attends Indiana Area. Ryan has plenty of athleticism and strength in the build, turning some heads early by posting a 6.91 sixty yard dash time. Starting from the IF, the primary 3B flashed clean glove work with tons of effortless arm strength across the diamond up to 91 mph. The physicality translates regardless of where Ryan is on the field. Behind the dish, he received out in front with a consistent compact arm action and refining accuracy, posting a 2.00 pop time. The arm strength was once again present, touching 83 mph. Offensively you won't find many players who hit the ball harder than Ryan, who posted an exit velo of 103 mph. He started from a slightly open stance with a high hand set and high back elbow, generating obvious loud impact to the gaps when timed up. There's real bat speed here with further room to get the barrel out in front and only add to the power threat that is already more than evident. Named to Top Prospect List.
