Dylan Nelson is a 2026 MIF/RHP/OF with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Pace Academy. Stocky strong medium build. 7.08 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, gets the glove down early and moves to the back hand well, has some arm strength developing accuracy, charged the ball well and showed his athleticism, probably best suited for second base at present. Also worked out in the outfield and looked solid out there with low and accurate throws and athletic actions through the ball. Right handed hitter, starts from a narrow and slightly open stance, big drift into contact that can leave him mistimed, has a short line drive swing with a middle of the field approach, has the strength to continue to develop with the bat with some adjustments. Took a turn on the mound, throws from a full well controlled windup that enabled him to throw lots of strikes. Fastball topped out at 82 mph. Curveball was a good pitch for him with good depth to the bottom of the zone. Also threw a developing change up. Excellent student.
