Joseph (J.R.) Hoffman is a 2027 RHP/OF with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Dallas, GA who attends North Paulding. Long levered, athletic frame with some present strength and projection remaining. Recorded a 7.20 second sixty-yard dash time. Showed a fundamentally sound defensive skill set during outfield drills with good routes, athleticism and agility. Gathered properly off his front foot, maintained momentum into release and produced online, accurate throws up to 90 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, open base with a high, tight hand set and leg lift trigger. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics to create torque, while showing some present bat speed and the ability to impact the baseball with authority when on-time and in-sync.
