Gavin Langford is a 2024 1B/OF with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Cabot, AR who attends Cabot. Big physical kid with plenty of remaining projection. In the outfield, he secured every ball cleanly working into a szable gather and throws with develping carry and accuracy to both bases. At first base, he showed the same prowess with leather, has some feel for the timing of the footwork to accurately feed the 3-6-3 double play ball. At the plate, he sets up with a moderate base and high back elbow working into astriding load that creates separation. The bat path works direct with intent and strong impact to all fields. Makings of a real bat speed/power blend. On the mound, its a methodical delivery with short and compact arm stroke into a high three-quarters slot. Played around with the fastball velocities and created weak contact frequently. Strike thrower that could be a usable asset to get low leverage outs. 7.57 60-yard. Great student. Named to the Top Prospect list.
