Reed James is a 2027 C/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Winnsboro, TX who attends Winnsboro. Medium build with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a medium straight stance with a simple high contact swing approach, hands driven swing with limited lower half drive into contact, works the middle of the field consistent barrel contact, executes his approach well. 7.55 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up comfortably behind the plate, comes out of his crouch well and has clean and compact transfers, good overall fundamental actions, compact arm action from a high slot and developing arm strength. Excellent student.
