2022 Jupiter Qualifier Workout Showcase
Diego Carrer is a 2024 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-3 115 lb. frame from Morovis, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Showed good speed with a 6.92 second sixty. Primary short stop with a smaller young build with plenty of projection left moving forward. Receives the ball with soft hands out front funneling it into the mid line as he gains ground into the throws with developing arm strength. Does a nice job with clean footwork of making accurate throws on the move. Right-handed hitter, starts with an even base using a small stride into contact. The bat works on a smooth path through the hitting zone holding his angles through contact and finding the barrel at a high rate working form the middle of the field to the pull side. Very good student. Named to the 2022 Jupiter Qualifier Workout Top Prospect List.
