Zachary Simmons is a 2026 SS/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from McDonough, GA. A medium build and athletic frame. Showed some physicality to the frame. Ran a 7.04 60-yard dash. A primary shortstop who worked to it got two hands out in front and showed a shorter arm action on throws across. He gets on top of the ball and had good arm strength to throw 84 mph across the diamond. Corner actions at times. Accurate with his throws across. Also worked out as an outfielder with patient actions, fielding the ball off to the side of the glove with an in-line path. Solid arm action. He threw from a three-quarters arm slot with short steps on the approach. He was accurate around the target, throwing 85 mph during his round. A right-handed hitter who keeps an even base with a more narrow look to it. The hands are set high, and the back elbow is up. He's got some coil to the leg lift. He gets the front foot down and turns hard through contact with some rotation to the swing. Quick hands with some hand speed showing. Added a base knock in-game. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher with plenty of athleticism showing in the lower half. He had a standard delivery with moderate lift and good extension working downhill. The fastball comes out up to 82 mph and works from a three-quarters arm slot. He worked in on hitters frequently with good command. Showed a breaking ball with some horizontal shape to it. Sweep to it with occasional depth to it. Developing shape on the pitch. Great student.
