Gentry McGinnis is a 2026 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Wimberley, TX who attends Wimberley. Lean athletic frame. Ran a 7.49 60-yard dash. Primary infielder with developing footwork, waits back on the baseball, average glove actions, stabs on the backhand and showed an average throwing arm with accuracy across the diamond. Hit from an open stance with high hands, gets to a quick launch, swings uphill with an oppo gap approach and some natural leverage in the swing. Exit velo of 79 mph off the tee. Showed a clean athletic delivery on the mound that he repeats well. Has a present high spin fastball/curveball combo. Fastball up to 83 mph and spun regularly over 2400 RPM. Curve had 11-5 shape and sharp break spinning at over 2600 RPM. Real traits to build on with plenty of natural ability on the mound. Named to Main Event Top Prospect List. Good student.
