2024 Coastal High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Bryce Munchel is a 2026 SS/RHP, 3B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Aldie, VA who attends P27 Academy. Long, lean frame with the type of body to build on and current wiry strength with more to come. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.29 seconds. Primary position infielder, showing good action on the clay with on point footwork and first step quickness. Confident with the glove, accurate work and trusted the hands on the backhand play. Working through the play, using midline transfer to get to throws. Changed arm angles effectively and built throws up to 82 mph across the diamond. Secondary RHP, using a hybrid windup with belt high leg lift and gets down the mound effectively. Accelerates through a high 3/4 arm angle, creating fastball up to 77 mph with ride and solid upper-60s slider with late action. RHH using a wider stance with small leg lift and flat barrel over the shoulder to start. Direct path to the ball producing low liners gap to gap and staying on the barrel with regularity. Showed some lofted pull side power later in the round. Well-rounded skillset.
