High School Top 50: Final Update

With the high school season being in the rearview mirror and the summer circuit firing on all cylinders at this point, we bring to you the Final High School Top 50. The familiar faces still litter the top-50 in this update we get to crown a National Champion in Kentucky’s own Trinity. They rattled off 24 straight wins to claim their second straight state title. The 2026 spring saw the Shamrocks saw them dominate in-state competition as well as beat top level talent from out of state including wins over state champions from California and Florida.

It was a tough decision at the top with Trinity (KY), Tomball (TX), and Aledo (TX) all vying for the crown along with a St. John Bosco (CA) team that just made it back-to-back Trinity League titles as well as CIF-Southern titles. Magnolia Heights (MS), Norco (CA), South Walton (FL), Harvard-Westlake (CA), Stoneman Douglas (FL), and Keller (TX) round out the top-10 respectively.

Huntington Beach (CA) makes the biggest leap after winning the CIF SoCal Championship. Lovejoy (TX) also makes a big jump up to No. 28 in the nation after rattling off a state championship in their own right. We welcome in a good chunk of new names in this update as Valley Christian (CA), Guerin Catholic (IN), True North (FL) and St. Xavier (OH) all make their debut along with some others cracking the Top-50.

It was an incredible spring all in all with countless big movers in the National rankings along with some teams that held their ground at the top for the entirety of the spring. As we continue moving forward into the summer, be sure to be on the lookout for the High School All-Americans releasing soon as well as following all of our summer tournament coverage all across social media and the website.

PHILADELPHIA – When the folks at Perfect Game reached out to invite him to pitch in the 2026 PG All-Star Game for rising sophomores and juniors, Cullen Scott had one request. “You mind if I get a couple of at-bats, too?” Along with his dad, Scott traveled from the family’s home in Texas to Citizens Bank Park. The trip proved to be a huge success as he starred on the mound and at the plate and was named the game’s Most Valuable Player. Scott, 16, pitched a scoreless first inning and struck out two. The WWBA World Championship remains one of the premier events on the draft calendar as all 30 major league organizations descend on Jupiter to evaluate some of the top talent in amateur baseball. The event serves as a pivotal checkpoint in the scouting process, giving established prospects an opportunity to further elevate their stock while lesser-known names have a chance to put themselves on the radar of various organizations. Big Offense Wins TBT/FTB Phillies Scout WWBA Freshman Title Runs scoring in every inning led to the TBT/FTB Phillies Scout Team taking home the 2026 PG WWBA Freshman World Championship - winning over Canes National 15U 10-5. It had been a long week in West Palm Beach for the freshmen coming in from around the country to go up against the best of the best. While they had gotten to play on the backfields during the whole tournament, the players who made it to the championship game got to play it in the CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches Stadium. TBT/FTB showed their defensive strength right away - executing quickly to retire each of the first three batters. The score was 8-7 after the championship was won with a walk-off balk. After going against some of the most talented, highly-ranked players in the country for the past couple days, it was finally time for the championship game at Roger Dean Complex Stadium in Jupiter, FL. WWBA Freshman Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 James Watson (2030, Canton, Ga.) showed the two-way upside to start bracket play for East Cobb Astros 15u. On the mound the right-handed pitcher went three innings and with three strikeouts and spread five hits and two walks for three runs. Watson works from a hybrid windup from the middle-of-the-rubber into a small heel-turn and an around-the-belt leg lift before using drop-and-drive back leg mechanics into a longer, in-line stride down the mound. Showed some feel to get extension down the mound. The hands separate into a moderate arm action before accelerating through from an over-the-top arm angle. The right-handed hitter starts from a spread stance with his weight shifted forward and in-line feet with a high handset and an even back elbow, utilizes a heel lift weight transfer trigger.
